有馬温泉の静寂に包まれたアート旅館、高山荘 華野。
華野館1Fの、エレベーター前に展示されているアート作品は、訪れるすべての人に存在感を放ちます。
この作品は、伊豆・玉峰館の館主であり、アートコレクターとしても知られる稲葉 京(いなば たかし)氏の収集品の一部。インドネシア・ジャワ島の古材と、バリの鐵工所で特注された金具を組み合わせ、そこに南宋時代の中国青磁の花器を合わせた一点ものです。
まるで器が宙に浮かんでいるように設えられ、花が空間にいけられています。館主自身が学んだ「なげいれの花」の精神が息づくこの花器は、日本の四季折々の草花と共鳴し、旅のひとときをより豊かにしてくれることでしょう。
「たとえわずかな待ち時間であっても、お客様に美と向き合う時間を」と語る、館主の想いが込められたこの空間は、高山荘 華野が掲げる“アートと花のある宿”の象徴とも言える存在です。

Nestled in the quiet elegance of Arima Onsen, Takayamaso Hanano is a sanctuary where art and serenity intertwine.
At the first-floor elevator landing, a single artwork captures the attention of every passerby—a celadon hanging vase that embodies the essence of cross-cultural beauty.
This piece originates from the collection of Kyo Inaba, proprietor of Gyokuhokan in Izu and renowned art collector. It unites reclaimed wood from Java, custom-forged metal fittings crafted in a Balinese iron studio, and a celadon vessel from China’s Southern Song dynasty.
Suspended gracefully as if floating in midair, the vase holds flowers arranged in the spirit of nageire no hana—the spontaneous, natural style that Hanano’s proprietor personally studied. With each season’s blooms, it brings a quiet vitality to the space, inviting guests into a moment of still contemplation.
“Even a brief moment of waiting should offer beauty,” says the innkeeper. This simple yet profound belief transforms the elevator lobby into a poetic intersection of Asian artistry and Japanese sensibility.
